The Grinch Who Stole Pickleball
On a bright Wekiva court where Spanish moss falls,
The Grinch and young Cindy played pickleball.
They zipped and they zapped with a whackety-whack,
While Max, on a crate, kept the score from the back.
With a sly, sweeping swing, Grinch returned Cindy-Lous volley—
But right in that moment he realized his folly.
“OUT!” barked Judge Max with a woof and a glare—
The Grinch grumped and grumbled, but Max didn’t care.
They rallied for ages, hands twitching and flickin’,
’Til the Grinch stomped forward and walked into the kitchen!
“That’s a foul,” Max announced with a bark full of meaning.
“No way!” cried the Grinch, “It’s Cindy who’s cheating!”
His green fur was sweating—he’d just lost the set.
So he threw a big tantrum and stole the whole net!
Cindy and Max chuckled, “
He’ll cool off in time...…
Even after losing the game, eleven to nine.”
